SELECTED PROJECTS

Storeberry

2017 - 2020
OMNICHANNEL RETAIL PLATFORM

Launched in 2018, with significant growth in active users, Storeberry becomes 1 of the Top 3 eCommerce platforms in Hong Kong. Storeberry offers retailers a suite of services including a POS system, multiple warehouse management, booking system, membership loyalty program, chatbot, and social media engagement tools to simplify the workload and unify everything in one single platform.

Design for new generation business - Omnichannel

Designing a platform is different from designing a website or an application, it has to be more flexible to fit various users. Specially Storeberry is an Omnichannel retail platform, it has a massive and complicated information architecture that cover all kind of devices.

Balance between business strategy and design

I worked closely with the Tech team and Business team to meet the balance between business strategy and design. A simple yet functional website editor is designed under limited resources to meet the business strategy but also allowing users to design their own eCommerce sites in the most supportive way that Storeberry can provide.

Growth with users

As a startup company, we develop the product constantly. We receive feedback from the users, listen to them, and understand their needs. This becomes a challenge to me to enhance existing functions or adding new functions to the existing product.

Social media engagement

Storeberry provides social media engagement tools, such as comment selling, live selling and chatbot for Facebook messenger. I researched and analyzed the needs of our users and their customers, then designed the dialogue flow and user journeys of comment selling and auto-reply chatbot to handle generic questions from customers. Also designed the chatbot builder for users to modify its own chatbot.

Hong Kong International Airport

2018 - 2020
VIDEO ANALYTICS PLATFORM
CO-WORKED WITH IBM

This platform is built to enhance the efficiency of the operation across and within management and operation teams in HKIA for airport security, airside & landside operation support, and retail data analysis. It also generates automatic alerts and can facilitate forensic analysis of historical data to identify trends, patterns, and incidents.

Unified user experience and user interface

There are different requirements from all end-users of the 11 use cases, some use cases share the same functions, some have its own unique one. It needs a united yet flexible design to fit different requirements from all use cases and end-users, so they have the same experience on all use cases within the platform.

Design V.S. Technology

From setting up cameras; creating analytics technical; alert systems and notification mechanisms, etc. I worked closely with the IT team on connecting design and technical issues.

Access anywhere

From management to operation teams, all staffs in HKIA use this platform to manage their works. In order to allow them access the platform anywhere within the airport area, some use cases and functions are mobile-friendly to increase the efficiency of the operation.

Centralcon Properties

2019 - 2020
SMART HOME PLATFORM

The first property in Hong Kong developed the "Smart Housekeeper" concept, an all-in-one smart home platform, including a mobile app and a bathroom mirror with multiple functions that allow the residents to control their smart devices at home, manage the access rights within the property of themselves and their visitors, monitor their health condition, and to receive up-to-date information from the property management department.

From concept to visual

This smart home platform is different with other platforms which usually about controlling smart devices only. Since this is a complete new product, I suggested ideas that help improve the usability and practicality of the platform, such as the booking service that allow residents to book a party room or other facilities of the property.

Bring joy in everyday life

Client requested an enjoyable and easy-to-use experience that suitable for young families. Not only applied them visually, I also added some “easter eggs” in the voice control. When users triggered specific keywords, the mirror reacts in funny ways like admiring user looks handsome or beautiful.

Flexible user journey updates when users changed their roles

Not only young families is a target audience, I categorized 3 main type of users and analyised the similarity and difference between them. A flexible user journey is designed that changes as users changed their roles.

LiF

2019
HEALTH TRACKER APPLICATION

A corporate wellness program launched in Indonesia, which aimed to improve employees’ performance at work by encouraging them to start exercising. However, the result didn’t come up as expected.

The client has found us to re-brand and re-design the whole project, I worked on the UX and UI of the application mainly, also involved in designing the challenges (games that motivate employees to work out).

* This project is now running internally at a hotel under LIF’s mother company.

Before & After

Instead of a “cold”, “too professional” and “functions are all hidden” design, we aimed to add the elements of “lifely”, “casual” and “fun” into the design.

Also redesigned a new game to encourage employees to keep doing exercise by joining challenges.

Modified user journey

Seperated the setting up and user guide section with different background colors.

Show joined challenges on homepage to encourge user keeps doing excerise.

Enhanced information

Added more information, user can easily check out his / her performances on each area.

Challenges

The process of the challenge between all the teams will be shown on a screen at hotel lobby, it’ll share with all visitors and employees.
